Insurance Sales Training - You're Taught To Do It The Hard Way

There have been too few changes in insurance sales training over the last 50 years. Can you even imagine trying to use 50 year old tools to perform your daily tasks even such simple things as doing your laundry, cooking, or mowing the lawn? Just think how hard that would be, how ineffective. Yet if you practice and follow the direction that your insurance sales training is telling you to, you are virtually doing the same thing.

One of the first things youre taught in your insurance sales training is to come up with a list of the names of at least 50 people who know you well enough to have an appointment with you. Ok, thats good in that it gets you to start practicing in a safe environment. But your current training falls short because you really dont know how to capitalize on that list. Many of the people on your list already have relationships with other agents and arent going to transfer their business to you, so you need to know how to help them to help you. These are the people who should be most interested and willing to help you if they only knew how.

Cold calling is an old insurance sales training favorite. The theory goes that if you just make so many calls you will talk to so many people and so many of them will give you an appointment. How many of you like making endless dials to talk to a hand full of people who are annoyed that you are rudely interrupting them, and then trying to twist their arm into meeting with you? With the do not call list and additional regulations in the health insurance industry this is an even harder way to try to succeed. Plus the phone scripts youre using couldnt be much worse. Doesnt it just make a whole lot more sense to make phone calls after you have a connection with someone rather than to start a connection?

The biggest red flag flaw in your current insurance sales training, is that no one is teaching you how to fill your sales funnel with the right people. The right people are the people who are most likely to do business with you. Plus you have to know how to pre-qualify even the right people if you want to be productive and start putting money in your bank account.

Your current insurance sales training teaches you a mediocre way of getting referrals. To get really good referrals you need to follow a fail-safe sales process so your customers are so excited about working with you that they eagerly give you qualified referrals. A qualified referral is someone that they talked to about you and asked to call you. What you are doing now doesnt place enough focus on building relationships, so the referrals you get are pretty weak.

You dont have to do things the hard way to be successful. When you change the things youre looking at you change the things you see. Start seeing a better easier way by updating your insurance sales skills to the tools you need in todays market by utilizing the ideas in this article.

Can A Natural Diet Relieve Arthritis Pain?

I finally found relief from arthritis pain, naturally, and you can do it too. It was just a few years ago that I accidentally discovered how to get rid of arthritis pain, naturally, with no conventional arthritis treatment.

Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis; when people refer to arthritis they usually mean osteoarthritis. The pain in arthritis can be mild, moderate or severe. Sometimes arthritis symptoms can occur in the wrist, elbows, shoulders, and jaw but generally you don't find it there.

The synovium is a membrane that surrounds the entire joint; it is filled with synovial fluid, a lubricating liquid that supplies nutrients and oxygen to the cartilage. Collagen is the essential protein that is found in cartilage; it forms a mesh to give support and flexibility to the joints. Proteoglycans are the large molecules that help to make up cartilage; they bond to water, which ensures the high-fluid content in the cartilage.

Sometimes injuries can be the start of the arthritic disease process; osteoarthritis can develop years later after a single traumatic injury to a joint or near a joint. When chondrocytes, which are the cells that make up cartilage age, they lose their ability to make repairs and produce more cartilage; this process may play an important part in the development and progression of osteoarthritis. Researchers report a higher incidence of osteoarthritis between parents and children and between siblings rather than husbands and wives.

One dietary natural treatment method involves avoiding all inflammatory foods. Make all-fruit smoothies using a base of two bananas, add a cup of frozen or fresh blueberries and mango chunks or substitute any other fruit and add an energy boost of two tablespoons of organic virgin coconut oil if you like; add one or two leaves of kale for even more super nutrition. Many arthritis sufferers who have changed their diets significantly have noticed major and even total improvement.

Many people have told me that going off dairy products and foods containing gluten, like wheat especially, relieved them of arthritis pain entirely. If arthritis is affecting your weight-bearing joints, keeping your weight within a normal range is important to get rid of any arthritis symptoms. Some of the foods and beverages to avoid that are inflammatory are: caffeine, salt, sugar, meat, dairy products, additives, soft drinks, white flour, white rice, alcoholic beverages, fast food, processed vegetable oils, and all refined, packaged and processed food.

Some people swear by a morning drink of pure filtered heated water with a teaspoon or so of raw apple cider vinegar (like Bragg's) and honey to keep them free of arthritis pain but vinegar is too harsh for many. If you're not already doing so, make a big effort to change your diet for the better.

Some of the supplements commonly reported for relieving arthritis pain (and I don't know if any of these work) are: cherry powder, glucosamine, chondroitin, bromelain, grapeseed extract, omega-3 and omega-6, cod liver oil, manganese ascorbate, MSM, boron, niacinamide, pantothenic acid, vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E. For a natural approach and for natural treatment for arthritis make an appointment with a naturopathic doctor, called a naturopath; ask around for referrals in your area.

Make sure to exercise all your affected joints every day, to keep them flexible. Important exercises for arthritis include: range-of-motion exercises, isometric exercise, and some weight-bearing exercises. At bedtime you can try putting on a pair of stretch gloves to help reduce the pain and swelling in your fingers if you have arthritic hands. A good exercise routine is important to beat arthritis and keeping arthritis pain at bay; keep on moving.

Your body has 147 different joints in motion every day of your life; keep them moving! Yes, whatever you do, keep moving; don't sit when you can stand, don't stand when you can walk or walk in place. To be on the safe side always check with your doctor before starting or changing any exercise program.

At the very least, understand what the side effects and adverse reactions are for any arthritis medication you take; one rule of thumb is - don't take any medication that has been on the market for less than five years. For conventional treatment of arthritis - if you do choose to take drugs or medications, be careful, read the labels thoroughly and talk to your pharmacist about side effects and adverse reactions; make sure you know the name of them and if they'll react with any other medication you're taking. Once you become completely informed about arthritis you'll be able to plan an arthritis treatment program, natural or conventional or a combination.

Changing your diet to lots of raw fruits and raw veggies, like I did, can turn your arthritis pain around almost overnight. More and more doctors are investigating the benefits of natural arthritis treatments and alternative therapies and most don't object to their patients trying them. Public relations for a winning sports team might sound easy but actually it is not that easy. The reason is because when you are winning everyone is trying to knock you down and as your players become more successful and popular, the media looks at them with more scrutiny and if something minor happens the media can blow it out of proportion.

If your team is losing and one of your players gets a drunk driving ticket then no one seems to notice, but when your team has been winning all season even if an assistant coach gets a DUI it could become big news and hurt the image of the team.

Some people say that all in news is good news. But when you are running a professional sports team that is not necessarily the case. And when you are out winning the paparazzi is out to get you and they get a lot of money for those photos when you make a mistake too.

How can a public relations team come up with a public relations strategy which takes all this into consideration and still develop community goodwill in the middle of crisis management? Is not easy but with the right team behind the scenes it is possible.

Obesity + Obesity = Unhealthy

Obesity has a lot of negative effects on an individual. For one, being obese causes a person to feel easily tired. Doing everyday body motions like walking, tying ones shoe lace and sitting down as well as standing up is very challenging if not difficult. One reason for this problem is that the joints of the body is exerting extra and double effort thereby producing unnecessary stress on the muscles and bones.

Imagine playing softball carrying a backpack filled with bowling balls. It is much harder to keep running with that extra weight on ones back. Also, problems related with breathing is just as common to people who are obese. Asthma is also a common occurrence for people suffering from obesity, sleep apnea is another, also surgery on the joints on the knee as well as hip problems is a common occurence.

Believe it or not, people at a young age are just as prone to being obese as well as older people and adults. Illnesses that were once thought of to be exclusive only to adults like hypertension, disease of the liver, diabetes (type 2) is also found among the youth of today.

People who are old meanwhile have the predisposition to develop degenerative diseases like heart disease, problems in the bladder, heart failure or stroke. For women, some of the diseases that specifically target them are cancer of the breast and colon.

It has also been proven that people who are obese are more likely to suffer from depression. This is usually the case because when one is overweight, feelings of unworthiness, shame and low self-esteem are the likeliest to occur. Usually, as a way to alleviate their depression, they eat. But then when they eat too much, they are more likely to be just as obese or maintain their excessive weight. This cycle is quite vicious and it takes tremendous self-discipline to get out of this rut.

However, there are ways to battle obesity. The goal of someone who is suffering from obesity and who is trying to lose weight should not be to lose weight. The main objective should be: to eat healthy, to always think healthy and be healthy.

Practicing eating foods that are good for the health is the best way to start. Having a regular time for exercise is another. It does not have to be a rigorous program in the gym. One could easily start with walking at least thirty minutes a day, everyday.

Or it could just as easily be foregoing the usual conveniences one has been accustomed to doing. Taking the stairs, for instance, and not the elevator is a good way to exercise those knees, legs and joints.

Instead of driving, try to bike instead. Or if you really have to drive, try parking at a place that is a bit far from your area of destination and, as much as possible, try to walk.

If you are stuck in the house a lot, make yourself - as well as your body useful. Do those muscle-stretching and sweat-generating chores. Vacuum the floor, clean the pool, wash that dingy car. Doing all these burns those unnecessary calories.

To sum it all up, obesity is a solvable problem. Being overweight is a temporary situation that long-term attitudes like discipline, self-control, focused attention and positive thinking cannot solve.

Take it from someone who has left his office without synchronsing his laptop and PC, who has wiped out days worth of work because he neglected to install a backup system and who even has lost clients because he ignored the importance of good, reliable information.

Don't make the same mistakes I have. Here's what a career on the road has taught me about computer data:

5 Tips for Travels

Start every trip with a synch Making sure your PDA and PC are both up-to-date is pretty easy. Generally, you just slip the handheld into its cradle and the computer does the rest. Synchronising one PC with another isn't as straightforward. I've tested every conceivable tool, including the one that came with my computer operating system, and they can be tricky. But it's definitely worth learning, because once you leave the office, I guarantee you'll be glad you updated your laptop.

Don't trust your computer Memory sticks that plug into your laptop are essential to the integrity of your data. And with some units now carrying up to 5 gigabytes of data (which equates to an awful lot of documents), you can fit all your essential files onto one small stick. Andrew Steele, a media consultant to charities and non-profits in Great Britain, routinely does a double backup. It recently saved his trip. "I had a laptop power supply fail," Steele recalls. "So even when the battery was finally exhausted, I could carry on without embarrassment on borrowed computers."

Stay in touch with the office There are several useful applications that let you connect to your computer or network from afar, including Microsoft's own Remote Desktop Connection. I like these options because you can catch up on any information that you may have forgotten to synch up before you left. My biggest gripe with these programs is that they tend to be slow particularly with a dial-up connection making large data downloads impractical. But if you couldn't synch up before your trip, they can be a real lifesaver.

Collect information and back it up Normally, small business travellers are good at collecting business cards, sales leads and receipts. But this valuable information doesn't always make it back to the office. My record keeping was so inadequate when I started travelling on business that I missed numerous charge-card payments. I ended up losing money because I couldn't get reimbursed.

When in doubt, switch to paper This is obvious advice, but it's so obvious that we sometimes forget it's an option. We've become so dependent on our technology that we don't remember that we could just write the information down. My partner used to make fun of me when I printed out the names and addresses of people before leaving on a business trip. Why do that when everything was on the computer? Well, there are still some things paper can do that a PC can't. Like operate without batteries. So when my laptop ran out of juice and I switched to paper, I didn't look like a fool.

If you are fond of dancing and want to seriously hone your skills or make a career out of dancing, you might consider getting formal dance instructions. Before you choose what type of instruction is most suited to your personality and budget, you might want to take note of the following considerations.

First, determine a goal for you and your instructor. Unless both the teacher and the student are aware of what one expects from the other, then progress might suffer. Draw up a clear teaching plan to answer a particular goal.

Second, maintain proper disposition, be focused, and concentrate on the task at hand. Both the teacher and the learner should be physically and mentally prepared to meet their goals. There should be mutual understanding and respect from both sides. A good instructor should not expect the student to learn new skills or undo old habits overnight. Likewise, an experienced instructor should know that students cannot perform all their old skills while learning new ones. A lot of patience and time is needed before a teacher and a student establish a good rapport.

Third, students should give the instructor time and leeway to teach. Likewise, the instructor should be allowed to exercise her own judgment and abilities. The teacher should teach skills to the students and not the other way around. She should be given proper rein on how he intends to teach the student so that set goals might be achieved. Failure to do so will lead to frustration and a need for a new instructor that will jive with the students needs and expectations.

Fourth, practice definitely makes perfect. As the saying goes, it is important to remember that dancing differs from learning mental skills since dancing requires constant practice. To be able to perform various dancing moves correctly, the body should be trained to function almost effortlessly as in a habitual fashion. Continuous repetition of a particular skill will lead to it becoming a habit, regardless of its acceptability. The body remembers actions it has performed the most.

Lastly, regularity and variety of dance instruction should be observed. Too much time off between lessons breaks up the learning process. This makes students forget, forcing teachers to repeat lessons.

If you are a potential student who likes partying you would probably like to know which colleges are the best party colleges. A party college is seen as a virtual center focused to not only to help the students develop their party attending skills in addition to enrich their regular courses. No list for party schools has been published until this year; the Princeton Review has released its ratings on best American colleges that includes "Top 20 Party school list."

Some of the organizations called for the Princeton Review to remove the list of such colleges in their list. The top party college list also includes Florida state, Clemson, Arizona, Texas, L.S.U, and Miami that are meant for party hard and are famous nationwide.

The criteria to be listed among the best party colleges are;

the women outnumber the men

there must be several live music concerts seven nights a week.

the participants have drive thru beer barns that sell keg to go.

It seems to be an honor to be included in this list and several online forums screaming like anything to include their school in the top 20 lists. By visiting the forums of these colleges, you may come to conclusion what's really going on at their campus.

Don't get surprised to see most of the colleges support the students for wild weekend parties, bowling, playing miniature golf, or even go to the movies with real girls to get good accreditation from Playboy in the ensuing years. It's an honor to be among the 20 best party colleges.
